Bahçeşehir University’s entrepreneurship unit, the “BAU Hub Incubation Center,” signed a cooperation protocol with GENÇ MÜSİAD at UGİK’26, where it opened a stand with 10 entrepreneurs it supports. The signatures of the cooperation aimed at increasing the global competitiveness of local startups were signed at a ceremony by BAU Rector Prof. Dr. Esra Hatipoğlu and GENÇ MÜSİAD President Mağsum Usta.
A cooperation protocol was signed between “BAU Hub” and GENÇ MÜSİAD (Independent Industrialists’ and Businessmen’s Association), which provide support in many areas to startups in their development phase and those working towards internationalization. The signatures were signed at UGİK’26 (International Young Businessmen Congress 2026), where BAU Hub is among the sponsors, by BAU Rector Prof. Dr. Esra Hatipoğlu and GENÇ MÜSİAD President Mağsum Usta.
MÜSİAD President Burhan Özdemir and President of the Presidency Investment and Finance Office Burak Dağlıoğlu also attended the signing ceremony organized for the strategic cooperation in line with Türkiye’s economic development goals and the dynamics of the entrepreneurship ecosystem.
‘GLOBAL COMPETITIVENESS WILL INCREASE’
Drawing attention to the importance of the signed cooperation, BAU Hub Director Seda Satır stated, “This step between BAU Hub and GENÇ MÜSİAD goes beyond traditional cooperation models and focuses on the commercialization of startup teams in sectoral standards. Within the framework of the strategic business plan, technology-oriented startups emerging from BAU Hub’s incubation and acceleration programs will be directly matched with MÜSİAD’s global capital network, strategic mentorship, and market experience. With this model, it is aimed to overcome the ‘scaling’ problem of local startups and increase their global competitiveness,” she said.
‘TEN STARTUP TEAMS OPENED A STAND’
Stating that it is of particular importance that the cooperation was implemented at UGİK’26 organized by GENÇ MÜSİAD, Seda Satır said that as BAU Hub, they participated in the event, where they were the Startup Lounge Sponsor, with 10 startup teams. Satır continued her words as follows: “At the event, startup teams not only showcased their projects. In addition to reaching a certain level of commercialization maturity with the support of BAU Hub’s incubation program, they also had the opportunity to access Young MÜSİAD’s smart capital and global network,” she said.
